Why TrailPick?

Most gear review sites have never set foot on a Scottish hill in August when the midges are thick and the rain is sideways. They test in controlled environments, or worse — they don't test at all.

TrailPick exists because I got tired of reading recommendations from people who've never had their tent stakes pulled out by a Torridon gale, or tried to cook on a Jetboil in 40mph winds on the Cuillin ridge.

Every product reviewed on this site has been tested in real conditions — the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District, Snowdonia. Rain, wind, midges, and all. If it doesn't work when it matters, you'll know.
